Green Built Homes
 Green Built HomeTM is a voluntary green building initiative that reviews and certifies homes that meet sustainable building and energy standards. The program is implemented in partnership with the Madison Area Builders Association in cooperation with other participating builders associations, leading utilities and organizations that promote green building.
Scherrer Construction is a certified Green Builder. An example of a Green Built Homes is Fields Neighborhood Village. This residential development has been certified with the highest point total to date for a Green Built Home.

The quality of life depends on the quality of water. Development can seriously harm water quality. Here rain water is absorbed by deep rooter native plant species. Water from the catchment pond will be directed through Flow Forms to infiltration beds and wetlands. Flow Forms are beautiful sculptural shapes that aerate and purify water.
