Project Details:
Project included the renovation of an early 1900's building. The existing building with a mortise and tenon timber frame structure, sat atop a stone foundation. It was completely gutted leaving only the main structural framing, exterior walls and roof.
The exterior of the building was reconstructed to match its only documented look from the early 1930's. The renovation included shoring and reinforcing the existing structure with steel columns and beams, pouring a basement floor, two new flights of stairs, repairs to the first floor joist system, replacement of the second floor joist system, aluminum entrance and storefronts, wood windows and shutters, cedar siding, and shingled roof.
The main part of the bank is decorated with woodwork throughout the lobby, teller area, conference room and break room. New offices occupy both the first and second floors. There are new plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems throughout the building.
