Annual Scherrer Cares Golf Outing Raises Over $120,000!

The 4th Annual Scherrer Cares Golf Outing fundraiser was held last week on June 14th at Evergreen Golf Course with almost 200 golfers including former Green Bay Packer Bill Schroeder. Bill, former NFL wide receiver, was back this year not only by popular demand, but because he is an avid supporter of our program and anti-bullying initiative.

The day was filled with several fundraising opportunities including a chance to “Beat Bill’s Putt”, betting holes, hole-in-one contests and a 50/50 raffle which netted the winner over $1,000! Over 60 live and silent auction items included Maroon 5 concert tickets, an autographed Bart Starr helmet and Brewer ticket package.

Over 80 businesses we work with helped us reach our fundraising goal through various sponsorships. Special thanks to our main sponsor, Two Men and a Truck, for their generous $10,000 donation again this year. All proceeds benefit the Scherrer Cares Buddy Bench program which supports schools in their anti-bullying efforts by providing customized buddy benches for kids to use to spread kindness, create friendships, and help prevent bullying. Since the start of our program, Scherrer Cares has donated over 50 buddy benches impacting over 20,000 students.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to our annual fundraiser as our program would not be as successful without your support!
