Founding Fathers/Philosophies
Since 1928, Vin and Elmer Scherrer established an enduring tradition of superior craftsmanship. They created and grew a company that was built on a foundation of superior workmanship, a team environment, and a sense of pride in the communities served.
Today, Vin’s grandson James E. Scherrer is the third-generation President and CEO of Scherrer Construction. Jim continues the tradition of quality by following the lessons he learned from his field experience and the mentoring of his father and grandfather.

Scherrer Through the Years

1928
Vin and Elmer found Scherrer Construction and began building barns and cottages in Burlington, Wl and the surrounding communities.
1955
The Scherrer families' reputation of building quality housing continues as Scherrer Construction becomes incorporated.
1958
The need for quality construction spreads to the commercial, educational, religious, municipal and multi-family housing industries.
1984
Vin Scherrer's son, James V. Scherrer, is elected president and continues the Scherrer tradition of quality craftsmanship throughout the years.
2007
Scherrer Construction employs and trains LED accredited individuals to assist owners in going 'green throughout their construction project.
2009
James V. Schererr's son, Jim, is elected president. Jim follows in his father's footsteps by continuing to focus on the values and service that made Scherrer Construction what it is today.
2013
Scherrer Construction celebrates their 85th year in business!

Scherrer Construction starts a non-profit organization, Scherrer Cares, to help give back to the communities it
2015
Scherrer opens a second office in Wausau, WI to develop new relationships and provide services to the Central and Northern WI area.
