Fox River Middle School Celebrates Addition with Ribbon Cutting
The 68,000 SF addition to Fox River Middle School in Waterford is complete and students are enjoying their new spaces!
Construction began in June 2019 at the middle school funded through a $24.9 million referendum approved by voters in November 2018. A new addition at Fox River includes a new common area, eighth-grade wing, music wing and art wing. The middle school got an updated fitness room as well, with two rows of recumbent bikes, cardio machines, weights and a large-screen TV. Other upgrades include “The Perch,” an area for information technology students to attend class and work, an updated library, kitchens and a new makerspace with work benches and 3D printers. Students with special needs have a designated kitchen space and rooms focusing on life skills as well.
The rest of the school was updated to architecturally match the interior of the new addition.
