The Daily Reporter's Rising Young Professional Award Honors Scherrer Principal & Project Manager

On March 25, The Daily Reporter recognized the great men and women who have spent their careers building the construction industry, and we couldn't be more proud to have our very own Principal & Sr. Project Manager, Steven Richard, included on this list.

Steven was nominated for this award because of his commitment to the company, dedication to his career and outstanding project management skills. Steven started with Scherrer in 2012 with little to no experience in the industry. Since then, he has progressed up the career path quickly becoming a Senior Project Manager and part owner in 2018. Steven is not only a leader for our Project Management team, but oversees daily construction operations on his own projects, coordinating with owners, architects and subcontractors on job scheduling, budgeting, shop drawing/submittal review, and contract management. He also steps up often within the office to help other employees, not just project managers, with tasks that they are working on despite the overwhelming amount of work that he already has on his plate. Steven’s customer service skills are exemplary, he is one of the friendliest people that I know, and he always arrives with a smile on his face and a happy greeting for his co-workers. He communicates well, is patient, and is a great teacher.

Steven has managed several projects in the educational, healthcare, municipal, commercial/retail, industrial, and religious industries. While Steven has worked on several projects throughout the years, a few that stand out include Williams Bay Elementary School ($19.9M), Fox River Middle School ($24.9M), and currently, a new 80,000 SF manufacturing facility ($50M) in Racine County.

Congrats Steven on this award and we appreciate your continued dedication and leadership to our company.
